I’m Michael Ash
My practice specializes in supporting parents, adolescents, children and adults who are experiencing distress. Sometimes events like divorce, trauma, loss, and adjustment to a blended family or a new school triggers the problem. For others, the cumulative impact of coping is a chronic challenge. As a result, depression, anxiety, mood swings, addictions, and academic failure may emerge. I support people as they overcome these challenges. I believe in the capacity to grow, change, and move towards self-determined goals.

Christian Counseling
Christian (Faith-Based) Counseling approaches psychotherapy through the lens of the Bible and faith. Counseling will be integrated with the teachings of the Church and with a focus on finding how to live lovingly within God’s will. We focus on the care of the whole person (body, soul and spirit) based on Christian values.
Substance Abuse
Learn how to identify stressors and take necessary steps to remain calm to handle tense situations constructively and positively. The purpose of anger management is to help a person decrease the heightened emotional and physiological arousal often associated with anger and respond in a socially appropriate manner.
Anger Management
In addition to substance abuse counseling, the practice performs DWI/DUI screening assessments and treatment. Mr. Ash is certified by the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS), is a Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC), and is an Impaired Driving Program Provider.
